Learn the foundations of Yoga Therapy in this introductory weekend workshop
All Yoga has the potential to be therapeutic, but Yoga Therapy differs from general yoga classes and sessions. This informative, engaging weekend workshop will clarify what Yoga Therapy is, how it differs from Yoga generally, and how it uses the tools of yoga – comprehensively and specifically – to provide highly individualised, specific Yoga practices to help people through whatever concerns they are facing.
This weekend workshop is for everyone interested in deepening their understanding of Yoga – it provides 9hrs CPD for existing Yoga Teachers.
This workshop is for you if you

- would like to deepen your understanding of functional applications of yoga
- work in the field of healing and would like to understand how yoga can help your clients/patients
- have health or wellbeing concerns and would like to learn how Yoga could help
It is open to anyone with a genuine interest, including Yoga students, Yoga Teachers, Doctors, Medical Practitioners, Therapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and more.

The workshop includes:
- an overview of the foundations of Yoga Therapy
- an overview of Yoga Anatomy (as distinct from Western anatomy)
- How Yoga Therapy differs from general Yoga
- Yoga Therapy as a supportive complimentary therapy
- Yoga Therapy consultation, observation and assessment
- Practical case study examples of Yoga Therapy in action
- opportunities to engage with Yoga Therapy practices as a practitioner
- PLEASE NOTE – this workshop does not qualify you in Yoga Therapy (which would require a post graduate diploma and internship), rather its information to broaden your understanding.

About your teacher
I’m Rebecca Murray and I’m a Senior Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist in the Krishnamacharya tradition. This means I’ve been trained to develop really effective & powerful practices that are specifically tailored to be make a practical difference.
